The reason Fast Wax Sport “HS” Glide Wax series performs so well is from its blend of four different types of paraffin wax. Each wax selected for a specific performance characteristic. Using advanced processing techniques allows us to properly bond these waxes together at the atomic level. Skiers demand exceptional speed and durability and this is what the result of this process provides. These hard waxes help keep the wax in the ski as the snow attempts to pull it out. Ironed in wax provides extra durability. The pores of the ski base will expand from the irons heat allowing wax to sink deeper in to it. Now your skis can go for miles and miles with excellent glide with Fast Wax Sport “HS” Glide Wax series.
HS 0 (High Speed 0) White -30° to 8° F
Extremely cold snow needs a cold weather ski wax that can stand up to the speed reducing, abrasive friction created as you ski over it. As a result of the harsh winter conditions, HS 0 was born. And quickly became the gold standard for cold weather ski waxes. Put some on before your next cold weather race and experience how it feels to be the only one with greasy fast skis. Your windburned, chapped lips, might even crack a smile at the start line. We have reports from some skiers that said their skis where still wicked fast at -30F when using HS 0.
HS 10 (High Speed 10) Teal -10° to 15° F
Fast Wax HS 10 is a cold weather ski wax that owns the mountain or trail when the temperatures drop into the single digits. Making it an all around excellent wax for skiing in cold conditions. A popular wax that has a wide effective temperature range one finds in the middle of the winter. Also works well for hardening bases.
HS 20 (High Speed 20) Blue 12° F to 28° F
Why is HS-20, Fast Waxes most popular wax? Because of its all around versatility, speed, and durability it is a ski wax used all over the world. Ideal on Nordic skis. If you’re looking for outstanding performance and super durability from a paraffin ski wax? Your search ends here! HS 20 is a durable and fast ski wax that can be used all winter long for Nordic cross country.
HS 30 (High Speed 30) Red 24° F to 34° F
This wax is the “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde” of our HS ski wax line; its narrower temperature range gives you serious speed, while still providing durability, when you go from the sun into the shadows.
HS 40 (High Speed 40) Yellow 30° F to 40° F
The older brother in the HS family, HS-40 is the defiant and rebellious party animal of the group. It really comes alive in spring time temperatures and loose snow. But it’s no softy! HS-40 is a “sun’s out guns out” wax with plenty of fight which makes it durable and fast in those springtime conditions.
