Cross Country Ski Report: Tuesday, March 3rd

Similar conditions to yesterday, Groomer Mike is snow combing the fresh man-made snow, and Trappers Cabin, Rolling Hills, Adventure, and Blizzard are holding up fairly well. All other trails are closed. Expect good conditions in the morning, softening up in the afternoon. Tomorrow looks like the same story. Thursday and Friday do not look promising, and we may have to close the trails to […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Monday, March 2nd

After more snow-moving last night, Groomer Butch is out snowcombing this morning. It looks like Trappers Cabin, Rolling Hills, Blizzard and Adventure trails will be open, but Tall Pines, Manitou and Wild Turkey will be closed due to thin/bare spots. Use caution on downhills. No fresh tracks, but the skate lanes should still be in pretty good shape for both skate and classic, especially […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Sunday, March 1st

Thanks to the valiant efforts of our snow making and grooming teams, the trails are in much better shape today! We moved a bunch of snow around at the trailhead and throughout some of the main network and the corduroy is looking and feeling good! Skiers yesterday reported fun conditions even with the little glaze. We were able to chew up Trappers cabin, Adventure, […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Saturday, February 28th

After the warm temps yesterday, a lot of sections in the trail network are pretty glazed over. There is still full coverage, but many very hard areas. Grooming Mike is out chewing things up and trying to soften up the ice. Use caution at the trailhead. Once you get about 100 yards out onto the main vein, the ice does turn into hard packed […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Friday, February 27th

It’s another sunny morning over here! Fresh snowcombing will make skiing in the morning the best. Things will warm up later in the day, softening the trails. Our recommendation is that the most ideal window for both skate and classic will be 9:30 – 12:30. Cross Country Ski Report: Wednesday, February 25th

We received about 1-2″ of fresh snow last night and the grooming team is out snowcombing the trails as we speak. Cross Country Ski Report – Monday, February 23rd

The grooming team set fresh classic tracks yesterday, and snowcombed all the trails this morning. The fresh snow we’ve gotten in the last 48 hours – about 3 inches – has revitalized the snow surface into beautiful conditions. The demo center and the Stone Turtle Cafe are open all day today. Yesterday was the 33rd Annual Junior Muffin Race! We had a ball watching […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Sunday, February 22nd

After a bit more snow last night, the trails are coming back to life! Groomer Mike is out snowcombing for the Muffin Race this morning, which means the Rolling Hills trail will be closed to the public between 10am-11:30am. Afterwards, all the trails will open back up for some nice skiing!
Cross Country Ski Report: Saturday, February 21st

We received a little snow yesterday and last night and the trails are open! We will start with grooming the practice field and demo area, and then move on to the main trail network afterwards. There are still some soft spots on the main network, so we may delay snowcombing across the street for an hour or two to let them firm up, but […]
Cross Country Ski Report: Friday, February 20th

The trails are closed today due to a wintery-mix. We should start seeing some real snow around 3/4pm continuing through the night, with accumulation up to 2″, which should put us in a good spot for tomorrow!
Cross Country Ski Report: Thursday, February 19th

The trails are open today, but we will not be grooming. I went out on Trappers Cabin today and it is very skiable! We still have a very thick base and though some spots are a little glazed over and the tracks are pretty washed out, the skiing was lovely! Tall Pines has a fair amount of debris and some of the downhills might […]
