Good morning! The trails are open today. It did not get much below freezing last night and there is still a lot of moisture in the snow, so we are not grooming today in order to preserve the base for when it does get cold enough at night to groom. The Trappers Cabin, Mackinaw Cut, and Wild Turkey trails will have the best conditions, as they were snow combed yesterday. The Practice area and Blizzard Trails will also be in good condition today. It’s looking like we should be able to snow comb by Friday morning at the latest, and will have most if not all of the system in good shape for the weekend! The Stone Turtle Cafe is serving up lunch and drinks today.
Today’s Forecast: “Mainly cloudy with snow showers around this morning. Temps nearly steady in the mid 30s. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 50%.”
