After the warmup yesterday, things cooled back down overnight and the grooming team is out there this morning scraping up some of the glazed over sections. Some areas in the shade are still quite nice, but there are also some slick sections out there that would respond well to metal edge skis. Looks like snow Friday morning, so we should have nice skiing this
We received about a half inch of dense, fresh snow overnight. This has improved the trail surface significantly, as it has covered the pine needles and oak leaves with great success. Good morning! Groomer Mike snow combed all the trails this morning, leaving the trail surface very nice. The big debris has been cleared, but there are still little bits of debris down on the trails from the big winds of the last couple days. All trails are open. Trail clean-up operations are under way, but there will be no grooming until the trails are cleaned up and cleared of debris. After cold temps and a bit of snow yesterday and last night, the trails are looking much better. The groomer is out snowcombing and chewing up the crust to make for great skate lanes, and we will cut some tracks as well. Should be a great day for skiing!
Although the temps have gotten back below freezing, we still need to let the trails firm back up from the warm wet weather yesterday. The trials will be closed today in order to make sure we can have good skiing for the weekend. Luckily, we still have a good base, and, it is snowing right now and we should see a little accumulation today.
The trails will be closed today and tomorrow to try to protect the base though the warm weather over the next 2 days. Things should get cold again Thursday night into Friday morning with a bit snow, so with any luck, we should still have good skiing by the weekend!

Groomer Mike set fresh tracks last night so they could firm up in the cold temps, and snowcombed the skate lanes this morning and the conditions are excellent! We have about 5-8″ of packed snow on the trails, and 12-15″ in the woods.

Tracks were set yesterday, and after 2-3 more inches last night, we’ll set tracks again this morning. It is absolutely gorgeous out there! We received about 3′ more inches last night and it’s still snowing as we speak. Groomer Mike rolled everything this morning and is now out snowcombing and setting classic tracks. Hallelujah!!
