We are honored to announce that Bob Frye, after 42 years in the cross country skiing industry, has been inducted to the Michigan Ski Hall of Fame!
The induction took place on Monday, August 22nd, at the Michigan Snowsports Industries Association annual meeting and dinner. Bob, founder of Cross Country Ski Headquarters, was honored for his “major contributions in areas of organization, promotion, or development of the skiing industry in Michigan.”
During his acceptance speech, Bob thanked all the people who have believed in the mission of Cross Country Ski Headquarters: help people have fun on the snow. He made a special thanks to his wife, Lynne, who joined him early on in the business, and without whom XC Ski HQ would not be what it is today. The ceremony was attended by many members of the Michigan and Midwest ski industry, as well as Lynne, his children, and other family members.
